My Everyday Make Up Routine - Autumn 2014

Thursday, 25 September 2014

So I'm calling this my 'everyday' make up routine as it has been the look I've been wearing the most lately, but I still do love experimenting with different colours & products. I also decided to get my hair dyed grey/silver for the new season, and yes I have been told by children I look like an old lady, haha! anyway onto the make up..

For my face..

After doing my usual morning skincare routine (I'll get around to posting that soon), I prime my skin using the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur on my nose and cheeks to fill in any lines/pores. This stuff is a must have for me! I then apply the Max Factor Facefinity Primer on the rest of my face. I really like this as it adds moisture to my skin, which is needed in these colder months.

For foundation I mix my MAC Studio Fix Fluid (NW20) with my Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude (100 Ivory) and apply with my Sigma F80. To correct and conceal I start off by using my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Honey which is far too orange for me so I use it to cancel out my dark under eyes. For extra coverage I then apply my MAC Select Cover-Up (NW20) to my under eyes and on any blemishes/problem areas. I set this all with my Chanel Poudre Univerelle Libre (Clair).

To contour I use my holy grail Nars Laguna, this stuff is just perfect and I don't go a day without wearing it (unless I'm having a no make up day, obvs). I then use Benefit Hervana as a blush and Nars  Albatross to highlight.

Moving onto eyes..

I start off by doing my brows, which I fill in using the shades ash blonde, medium brown & dark brown from the HD Brow Palette. I then tidy up my brows using the MAC Studio Finish Concealer (NW20) to sharpen and make the tale end in a nice sharp point. I then prime my eyes using my MAC Paint Pot in Vintage Selection. Taking my Stila In the Light Palette I take the shade Sandstone in my crease using a MAC 217 brush and also onto my lower lash line with a Zoeva 230 brush and apply Sidecar from the Urban Decay Naked Palette all over my lid, which is basically the powder version of the paint pot I primed with. I use Virgin (from the Naked Palette) on my inner corner and brow bone to highlight.

For eyeliner I use the Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl in Superblack on my waterline with Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Black for my wing. As for mascara I've found myself reaching for the Rimmel Wonder'full Mascara a lot. Lips are super simple, I mouisturised with my Baby Lips in Cherry Me and then I applied Lime Crimes Centrifushia lipstick (a must have in Autumn for me!)

So that's my Autumn make up routine, what products are you loving now the cooler weather is approaching?

  1. the mac studio fix and the stila palette are on my wishlist for ages now. need to get them.
