Seventeen On the Spot Foundation Review

Sunday, 14 July 2013

I have never tried a foundation that claims to clear your blemishes, so on my usual trip around Boots I decided to pick this up. I have been using for about 5 days now and so far I'm really enjoying it.

They class it as a 'full coverage' foundation but I don't think I can agree, the coverage is good and does hide my blemishes and evens out my skin tone, but  I still  use concealer to make sure my skin is a flawless as possible. I mix it with Pro Longwear if I need a full yet light coverage. I apply it with my Sigma F80 brush and it goes on so smoothly and makes your skin look super smooth.

I don't have dry skin at the moment as it's sunny (oily!) weather so unfortunately I can't comment on dry skin. As for oily skin, I have found I have to powder 2-3 times a day which can be annoying. Even though I do get oily skin with this, it does last on my skin all day, even in this heat!

It has only been 14 days but I have noticed a difference in my blemishes, whether that's down to this or my new skincare routine or perhaps a combination of both. It contains salicylic acid (a BHA that's a must for oily/acne prone skin) and I've found I do have less blemishes and they're not as red as usual. Thankfully this foundation didn't make me breakout, which I find happens a lot when I try new foundations.

Overall I am happy with this foundation, I will continue to use it over these summer months and I would purchase it again, I just wish it didn't make my skin as oily. Maybe one day Seventeen will make a version for oily skin?

  1. good review!, i have oily skin even in the winter & i hate powdering through out the day:( x

  2. I've never heard about this foundation before, but it does sound good apart from the powdering part! I nominated you for a Liebster Award on my blog lovely! xx
