So It Was Time For A Change

Oh hey, it’s been a while, so long in fact you probably don’t even remember who I am but I’m here, I’m alive and I’m back (I feel like I’ve said that 700 times before oops). I was just going to come back and resume my usual beauty posts but I thought it’s been such a long time I felt that sitting down and explaining what’s been going on was probably best, so I’ve got my hot chocolate, I’m blasting old school One Direction and I’m ready to ramble.

So the first thing you may have noticed is that SColvinBeauty has had a pretty major makeover and I couldn’t be happier. I finally decided it was time to make the jump from Blogger to WordPress and with the help of Pipdig (my faves when it comes to all things blog design related), my new blog is now here! Whilst I’m still getting used to how everything works, so far I’m absolutely loving it. WordPress > Blogger all the way guys.

Next up comes health, if you follow me on social media you may have seen me speak/moan/ramble/rant about bits over the past few weeks. The main thing has been my wisdom teeth, I’ve been having a nightmare with them. All four have felt like they’re trying to actually murderer me, the dentist has become my second home and ice cream become breakfast, lunch and dinner. I’ve been on various antibiotics but I’ve got to wait to have them taken out now. I’ve even had the sexy swollen face to go with it so I’ve been looking great.

Speaking of faces, I managed to impale my face with a pair of scissors. Yep, you read that correctly. Passing out is common for me with my autonomic issues so I was just cutting a tag out my top then I passed out landing on the scissors and they went straight through my cheek/lip and up to the top of my mouth. Soz for the tmi.

It scared me actually, I was in shock and it took a few days to accept it had really happened. I was swollen, bloody and looking a hot mess with the wound covered whilst it healed. I obviously avoided wearing makeup or creating looks, hence why my Insta has been a bit dead lately but it’s healing really well and it’s just an annoying scab now. The makeup looks will be back v soon!

Mixing these with everyday life has meant finding spare time to sit down a write when I didn’t feel rough has been really hard and I hate that. I love blogging, I’m determined to get back into some kind of routine as this break has killed me. I want new content going up frequently, I want to post more than one post a freakin month. I’ve got this.

So I’ve tried to keep this brief. I don’t do brief so this is the closest we’re getting. Thank you for sticking around during my unexpected ‘hiatus’ but I’m back and ready with posts – I’ve even written a few so they’ll be up next week!
