First Impressions: Kat Von D London Calling Set

This is not a drill, Kat Von D is launching at Debenhams here in the UK tomorrow and this has got me feeling all the feels. I’m sure if you follow the beauty community you’d have probably heard this news a while ago but now the launch dates only a matter of hours away I’m ready to throw my debit card at my computer and eagerly wait for my parcel to arrive… hello new makeup, and of course haul posts.

Although I’m yet to try anything from the brand (I know, I’m just as shocked as you are), Kat Von D Beauty has been available at Sephora for a good few years now, and whilst we can get hold of it in the UK from the website we’re hit with over the top delivery fees I’m too tight to pay plus the fact it’s just not as easy to get our hands on. When I booked to go to New York next April, KVD was one of the brands I planned on going a bit crazy on in Sephora so I’m glad to be able to get my hands on it sooner!

A few weeks ago I had an email pop up in my inbox from Debenhams saying about how the brands soon to launch and how they’d released the London Calling set and honestly I don’t think I’ve ever checked out faster. Although this set is no longer available (sorry makeup lovers!) I thought I’d still share my thoughts on the products as an overall brand first impression, but you can buy them all full sized anyway.

The first product that I couldn’t wait to try was the raved about Tattoo Liner. When it comes to eyeliners I feel like this is the eyeliner of all eyeliners, and I absolutely agree! The minute I tried this I fell in love. This pen has such a fine and precise nib that makes winged eyeliner so much easier, it’s super black and it lasts really well on my watery eyes. I can actually say I now have a holy grail liquid eyeliner, Kat Von D you’ve done well with this one!

The next product that I was super excited to try was the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Double Dare. The KVD liquid lipsticks are so well loved by the beauty community and being the liquid lipstick lover I am I couldn’t wait to finally give it a try. Well lets just say wow, this is by far the best formula I’ve come across in a liquid lipstick and I’m so happy about it. It’s so long lasting, comfortable to wear and it doesn’t leave my lips feeling horrendously dry. I can’t wait to try some other colours… Requiem I’m coming for you!

The last product in the set is the Studded Kiss Lipstick in Lolita, which I knew they did in liquid form but I didn’t know they did in a lipstick. First up 10 points for the packaging, it’s so edgy and I absolutely love it. The colours a really wearable dusty rose, it’s really opaque and it has such a nice formula that glides on in just one sweep. I can see myself buying some more of these!

I’m so glad to have finally tried Kat Von D Beauty and I can say from what I’ve tried it gets my seal of approval! I can’t wait to try more from the brand.

Have you tried anything from Kat Von D?
