5 More High End Beauty Products That Are Worth The Splurge

A post dedicated to my love for high end makeup? I don’t think I’ve ever found a post so easy to write in all my years of blogging. Ever since sharing my last 5 products worth the splurge post I’ve had a list sat on my phone full of more products for another post so today I’d get around to sharing it! Prepare to read me rambling on about high end products I adore because there’s a strong chance i’ll ramble… spoiler: I do.

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Smoothing Primer
When it comes to primers, I’m fussy. There’s very few that I find actually do anything for my skin, especially when they’re aimed at smoothing, blurring or minimising pores. This little gem from MUFE is a total exception as it works wonders for my skin. It really does do what it says, I find it smoothes my skin perfectly leaving a soft base for my foundation to go on top of. It does blur my skin without feeling very heavily silicone based and I just can’t fault it.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
Sheer Glow is a very hyped about product in the beauty community, it’s become a holy grail for many (including myself!) and it really does earn the hype it gets. I don’t know where to start with this foundation, if I was to bottle all the things I want in a foundation this would be it. The name ‘Sheer glow’ doesn’t exactly sum this up the best, I find it to be medium to full coverage and more matte than glowing, but that’s what I like about this. It gives coverage without looking cakey, my skin looks soft and smooth without looking heavily covered in product and it lasts all day on my combination skin. Sheer Glow, I love you.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter Pressed in Pearl
Have you ever seen such a beautiful glowing pan of perfection? Whilst the picture above doesn’t do it enough justice making Pearl look more like a ghostly white face powder than a shimmering pan of perfection, it is in fact the most perfect highlighter I’ve ever come across… and that’s really saying something! For a highlighter this really does some damage to the bank balance but boy it’s worth it. Pearl is a beautiful frosted white glow giving shade that really does make my cheek bones pop without looking like I’ve slapped glitter all over my face. You need this.

MAC Lip Liners

No lip liner will ever come close to the love I have for MAC lip liners, over all the years they’ve still always be my favourites. Coming in such a wide variety of colours makes it easy to find whatever colour you’re after, my collection is growing at a rate I’m ashamed to admit. Besides the crazy amount of colours, these lip liners pack a serious pigmented punch in an incredibly long lasting formula. For somebody that overdraws their lips, you want a long lasting formula and this gets my seal of approval. Although it’s hard to cut my favourite shades down to just a few, I couldn’t be without Edge to Edge, Whirl and Soar.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Backtalk
When Urban Decay released the Vice lipstick line containing over 100 shades in 6 different finishes my lipstick loving self went into meltdown… was it exceptable to spend my life savings on lipstick? No? Well how the hell was I meant to narrow it down to just one (or 2, maybe 3) shades. The day they came to counters I ended up swatching about 25 different shades and ended up settling for Backtalk, a very typical mauve-pink Samm colour.

As well as being what I class as the perfect shade, Backtalk has one one the best formulas I’ve ever come across in a lipstick. Comfort matte really does describe the formula as it still gives that matte look whilst feeling comfortable on the lips. It’s not at all drying and has an incredibly long wearing formula. Backtalk has become one of the most popular shades from the line and it deserves all the hype it gets, I can’t fault it.

What are some of your high end favourites?

Samm
