May was a rather spendy month for me -nothing new there then- which meant lots of new additions to my makeup collection, spoiler: expect hauls to come over the coming weeks. With the new additions came lots of new loves which made cutting down the products for this post rather challenging but we made it, phew. These are the products I’ve been loving lately.
The star product of the month easily has to be the NYX Colour Correcting Palette. I picked this up a couple of weeks ago after lusting after it for a while and it doesn’t disappoint. While colour correcting isn’t for everyone as it can be a complicated thing, once you’ve got used to what colours used on which area then it’s a super handy tool for creating the perfect base. This palette is great, the colours are both creamy and pigmented whilst being easy to blend into the skin, I couldn’t recommend it more.
Up next is another NYX product (I went a bit crazy at the counter oops l o l) but this time for the brows. I’ve been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade religiously for that past couple of years but as my last pot was running out I thought I’d give the NYX Frame & Tame Pomade a try. I’m SO impressed, I’d even go as far as to say I prefer it – expect a full review soon! To apply it I’ve been loving the MAC 266 brush, it’s the perfect angled brush for applying brow products.
As for lips, there’s been a combination I’ve been wearing practically daily lately and I don’t think I’ll get bored of it anytime soon. First up is the NYX Slide On Lip Pencil in Bedrose, a really wearable soft muted pink. I really love the formula and the shade is incredible. To wear with the liner I’ve been absolutely loving Charlotte Tilbury Amazing Grace, a soft pinky coral that pairs perfectly with the lip liner for an everyday Spring/Summer lip.
Up last is a product I’ve loved for a while but one that I’ve been wearing lots lately, the Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink, a medium pink with a subtle gold shimmer that adds the perfect pop of colour without being over the top. This is very similar to Nars Orgasm, one of my favourite blushes and it’s only a fraction of the price.
So those have been the products I’ve been loving lately, what have some of your favourites been?
