I can’t believe Christmas has been and gone for another year, it doesn’t seem like that long ago the decorations were going up and the Christmas shopping stress began! Although it’s gone by crazily fast, this Christmas has been really lovely, it’s been great spending time with my family and of course eating my body weight in food (the usual!). For those of you that celebrate Christmas, I hope you had an incredible time too!
Today I thought I’d share my what I got for Christmas post with you. I was really 50/50 on whether to share it or not because I’ve seen such mixed views on these type of posts across social media, and a lot of people class them as “bragging”. Now I personally love reading these type of posts, they’re one of my favourites to read and I’ve never thought of them as bragging. I’m sure you guys know I’m not the bragging type, I’m just sharing makeup with you which is what I do on this blog!
Being a blogger and makeup addict means my friends and family are aware of how makeup obsessed I am and spoiled me with lots of new makeup bits this year, I’m a very lucky and grateful girl! My mum let me choose a few of my Christmas presents which were the Nars Steven Klein An Abnormal Female Bullet Lip Pencil Set, NARS Pencil Sharpener and the Zoeva Rose Gold Volume 2 Complete Eye Brush set which came with a free Beauty Bay Blending Sponge. I love Zoeva brushes so I’m glad to have more in my collection.
My dad gave me some Christmas money early to buy my own presents so I got the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz as mine had just ran out and the Soap & Glory Well I’ll Be Glammed gift set. I’ve used the Sensual Skin Enhancer a few times and it’s absolutely incredible, I’ll get up a full review soon!
My nan and grandad got me the LUSH Golden Wonder Set and gave me some money which I hit the LUSH boxing day sale with (I’ve got a haul going up tomorrow!). My other nan gave me a Boots voucher which I used to get the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eu So Fresh Perfume set, Nicki Minaj The Pinkprint Gift Set and the Cherry Balmi Lip Balm.
I then opened up a present that I wasn’t expecting, my mum told me “it’s been delivered by the makeup fairies” so I couldn’t wait to see what was inside! When I opened it and saw a big Charlotte Tilbury gift box I wanted to cry! I’ve admired Charlotte Tilbury for years but I’ve never tried any of her products mainly down to the price. My mum chose The Perfect Nude Kiss Lip Set, a CT Pencil Sharpener and the Dolce Vita Palette which has been on my wishlist for ages. I’ve used the products a couple of times now and so far I’m in love, why has it taken me so long to get on the Charlotte Tilbury hype?!
My mum then surprised me again with the Look Fantastic Beauty Box which contains various different products including my beloved Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm which was perfect timing as I’d just ran out of it. She knows I love subscription boxes so this was the perfect gift for me!
My sister got me The Balm Autobalm Hawaii Palette after seeing it on my gift guide, some chocolates which of course I’ve already eaten, and the cutest pink fluffy charm that’s the newest addition to my handbag – she knows me well! My little brother got me some skincare bits from The Body Shop but I’d already opened them before taking these pictures so they’re down in my bathroom.
As you can see I got so many lovely gifts and I can’t wait to use them all! I also got some other bits from friends and family members like smelly sets, jewellery and vouchers but I just included the main beauty bits in this post so it wouldn’t be too long.
I hope you’ve all had a fabulous festive time filled with fun, family and of course lots of food!
What did you get for Christmas?
