My Top 5 MAC Lipsticks + MAC Lipstick Giveaway

You just can’t go wrong with a MAC lipstick, they’ve earned themselves a place in many womens makeup bags and makeup lovers collection, and they really do deserve all the hype they get! I currently own a rather obsessive 24, and I love all of them dearly. The quality really is impressive and the simple black packaging just looks so elegant – don’t even get my started on limited edition packing, that’s my weakness!

I think lipsticks really are the standout product from MAC, not only do they come in every shade imaginable, they also offer different finishes so you’re bound to find one you like. Being on the more pricey side, it’s not easy just to drop £15.50 on a lipstick (at least not for me anyway) so I find these types of post really helpful, and I usually end up adding a shade or two to my wishllist!

Starting off with not only my favourite MAC lipstick, but my all time favourite lipstick out of all the ones I own – and trust me that’s a lot! Brave is a soft rosy pink that looks really natural, it’s my perfect ‘my lips but better’ shade. I find it goes with a variety of makeup looks, and it’s always in my handbag. I’m actually almost out of it so I’ll will certainly be repurchasing this shade asap.

Chatterbox, oh how I love you. It’s such a pretty rosy pink colour that’s easy to wear – it isn’t too neutral nor too bright. The pigmentation is incredible with this one, and it lasts ages on the lips. It’s an amplified finish which is one of my favourites, and I love that Chatterbox looks beautiful on a variety of skin tones from light to dark – you need this one!

I picked Twig up back when the whole Kylie Jenner lip craze was a thing. I already owned Velvet Teddy (the original KJ shade) but I really didn’t like it so I decided to try Twig. Twig is a really nice rosy brown that I love to wear throughout Autumn/Winter. It has a Satin finish so it has a really opaque long lasting colour that isn’t at all drying, just what you want during the cooler months. I really do love Twig and find it such an easy colour to wear, it looks beautiful when paired with MAC Morning Coffee lip liner.

Rebel is a shade that’s only recently made it into my top picks. I’ve owned this lipstick since last Christmas but I didn’t get much wear out of it because I’m very wary of dark lipsticks. Back in the beginning of Autumn I decided to give it a try and I’ve fallen head over heels for it. It applies lighter and more pink in colour on the lips so it’s more wearable that it first appears, this shade is a new Autumn/Winter must have for me!

Impassioned is basically me in lipstick form. It’s an incredible watermelon pink that suits my pale complexion well. I bought it in duty free when I was going on holiday so it always reminds me of that trip, I think that’s why I love it even more. Although we may be in Winter, I’ll still be rocking this colour – who needs to follow the lipstick rules… certainly not me! Another thing I love about Impassioned is that when it starts to fade, it leaves a stain to the lips so you don’t have to worry about uneven fading.
