Festive Glam | Christmas Party Look

With less than a week until Christmas there's no better time to dig out the glitters and shimmers and turn your eyes into something that's sparkles bright enough to be placed on the top of a Christmas tree! Whether it's for a party, event, Christmas Day or even just to make yourself feel glam, I put together this party season friendly makeup look! Spoiler: of course shimmers involved.

Face

To start off, I primed my face using the Soap & Glory Hocus Illuminator to prime as well as to add some much needed glow back into my rather dull skin. I then used my beloved Dior Airflash in 100 (literally the best foundation EVER) and blended that in with my Beauty Blender to create a flawless full coverage base. To conceal my undereyes I used the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Fair Neutral and then went in with the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder to set both my face and undereye area.

For my cheeks I wanted to keep it fairly neutral to keep the focus on my eyes. To contour I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Fawn and Sand to highlight, both from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. As for blush I just used a small amount of MAC Fleur Power.

Eyes

Now onto the best bit, the eyes!  I knew I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle without using glitter so I went for a pressed pigment from MAC. I started off by priming my eyes with the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden, this is going to help make my shadows last longer as well as giving the pigment something to stick to.

For the actual shadows I used one of my favourites, the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. I used Salted Caramel as my transition colour with Semi-Sweet, Milk Chocolate and Triple Fudge in my crease and lower lashes blended out with White Chocolate. The pressed pigment I went for was Black Grape from MAC applied with a damp brush to get a more intense colour. I've also got a little bit of MAC Vanilla Pigment on my inner corner - Vanilla is a staple for the holiday season!

I lined my lash line with the L'Oreal Superliner and used the Rimmel Exaggerate Liner in my waterline. As for mascara I keep it the same with the Maybelline Lash Sensational, this is my all time favourite mascara and the fact it's drugstore makes it so purse friendly - plus that metallic pink packaging is everything! I also used a new pair of lashes that had just been delivered, the postman arrived at just the right time! The lashes are the House of Lashes Iconics, and they're absolutely beautiful! I can tell these are going to fast become a firm favourite!

Lips

For lips I wanted to keep it nude(ish) and matte. I used my staple MAC Whirl lip liner and my new favourite liquid lipstick that's managed to convert me from a liquid lipstick hater to a major freakin addict that just wants all the liquid lipsticks in the world, Jeffree Star Celebrity Skin. Although red is the standard festive lip colour, I don't often wear the colour myself and it's a hassle to check it hasn't gone all over your teeth every 30 seconds, so I opted for a nude.

So that's my restive glam look, what's your Christmas season makeup must have?
