‘Holy grail’ is not a word I like to throw around easily, so for a product to get to that status it has to really impress me, like big time impress. Over the years of trying a ridiculous amount of beauty products, I’ve come across a few that proudly get my holy grail seal of approval, so today I thought I’d share some of them with you…
I have repurchased these lashes so many times now I’ve lost count. The Demi Wispies are the perfect pair of lashes for me, I just can’t fault them. The problem I usually have with eyelashes is the fact they feel fine for the first 30 seconds, and then I’m just like urgh when can I take these bloody things off. Thankfully this isn’t the case with these. I wear Demi Wispies so often, probably too often, but they just add such a nice yet natural amount of length and volume and feel so comfortable to wear. If you’re not one for false lashes, or even want a more natural looking pair then these are the ones for you!
Maybelline have always been my favourite drugstore brand for mascaras. I used to love The Falsies mascara the most until the Lash Sensational came into my life earlier this year. It gives the perfect amount of length and volume to my stubby little lashes without making them look clumpy and spider like. I’ve also tried the waterproof version of this, but I really didn’t get on with that so I’d say go for the regular formula over the waterproof.
My favourite foundation EVER, the one that I’ve been repurchasing for years and I just can’t fault it. The Healthy Mix Serum works really well with my skin, it lasts all day, doesn’t cake, emphasise dry patches or break the bank and it’s just so easy to wear. It provides light to medium coverage, which I always prefer as any problem areas can simply be covered by a concealer.
Talking about concealer, the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer has to be my number one. I’ve repurchased this concealer so many times over the years, I’m on my 7th tube now so the love is real! I find it works well at both concealing any pesky blemishes as well as an under eye concealer, which is rare as I usually find concealers that cover blemishes are way too thick for the under eye area. I can’t recommend this concealer enough, even though it’s more on the pricey side it’s worth every penny.
This lipstick is my go to, my holy grail, my life. Brave is that ‘my lips but better’ colour, and it’s the first lipstick I’ve ever actually almost used up. It’s such a beautiful soft muted rosy pink which goes with so many different makeup looks, wherever I am you can guarantee this lipstick will be in my handbag.
When I first bought the Dipbrow, I was worried that it was going to be too intense and Sharpie looking on me. Luckily once you get the hang of it, the Dipbrow just looks so good on and gives a ‘natural’ yet ‘brow game strong’ look. Anastasia Beverly Hills is know for owning the brow game, so you know your brows are in safe hands with her products. The Brow Wiz pencil is also incredible if you’re looking for a really natural look.
If I could only have one blush, it would be this. I wear Dainty on an almost daily basis, and it adds such a natural yet beautiful pop of pink to the cheeks. It has such a beautiful finish that doesn’t look too flat and dull on the skin as it contains tiny little bits of glitter, but don’t worry you won’t be looking like a disco ball, it’s very subtle.
It took me years to get on the Beauty Blender hype. It sat at the top of my wishlist for what felt like forever, but I just couldn’t justify spending £16 on a sponge. One day I caved, and it was the best decision I ever made. The Beauty Blender works so well at blending foundation, concealer and even powder into the skin giving such a natural and flawless look. I can’t be without it now, no other sponge will ever compare.
Best brush ever? Yep this brush takes that title. The 217 blends colours into the crease like a dream. Although it comes with a ridiculous £20 price tag, it’s worth the investment as they last forever. I’ve had one of my brushes for about 5 years and it’s still going strong, I love it that much I actually have a couple of them in my brush collection.
Hope you enjoyed this post, whats your holy grail product?
