Morphe Brushes Review | M438, M501, M507

Left to right: M438, M501, M507

There’s something so satisfying about new makeup brushes, I love how perfectly shaped and clean they look – until the heartbreak hits after using them and you realise it’ll soon be time to clean them *sigh*. When it comes to brushes I like to try them from various different high end to more purse friendly brands to give them all a try- plus I have some kind of addiction to buying them. Today I’m talking about the newest additions to my brush collection, these three beautiful Morphe brushes (spoiler: you need them!)

Morphe is a brand that I’ve heard lots about over the past few months, but with me being in the UK and them being over in America I put off ordering as import and custom fees are the worst! When I saw that Beauty Bay started stocking the brand, I rushed onto the website and ended up adding about 10 different brushes to my basket… online shopping can be deadly! Obviously I had to have some kind of self control so I only ended up getting 3 brushes in the end.

When the parcel arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas day! The first thing I noticed when I opened them was how soft they were, being on the “cheaper” side I was worried the quality might not be the best but luckily this isn’t the case. I haven’t noticed a single hair fall out so far, and I’ve washed them all once and they dried nicely, stayed soft and kept their shape. These are the brushes I ordered…

Morphe M438 Pointed Contour

Although it’s called a contour brush, I use this to set my under eye concealer with powder. As it’s tapered it fits perfectly around the eye to really make sure my concealers set, nobody has the time for creasing concealer! I can imagine this would work beautifully at contouring the face as it would fit into the hallows in a breeze.

Morphe M501 Pro Pointed Blender

This brush has fast become my favourite highlighting brush! It picks up the perfect amount of product and applies it like a dream. I used to use a fan brush for highlighting, but I just love how this glides over the skin giving that perfect glowing but not ott discoball like highlight. I used to struggle wearing MAC Soft & Gentle highlight as it contains rather chunky pieces of glitter, but with this brush they just work so well together. I couldn’t recommend this brush more!

Morphe M507 Pointed Mini Blender

This tiny little brush is perfect for applying eyeshadows under the eye, it’s small enough to add colour without giving you a serious case of panda eyes. It picks up products really well and feels so soft on the eyes – nobody wants a scratchy makeup brush, especially for around the eyes! It’s great for creating a cut crease as it’s so small you can create a beautifully neat look.

I’m so impressed by these brushes, and I’ll certainly be adding more Morphe brushes to my collection!

Have you tried anything from Morphe?
