Lipsticks are the way to my heart. They’re my favourite beauty product, and I own more lipsticks than anyone really needs- but they’re so freakin pretty!
If you watch beauty gurus or follow the beauty community on Instagram, I’m sure you’ve probably come across the brand Gerard Cosmetics (was whitening lightening) a few times. They’ve earned themselves a real hype, and me being the lipstick addict I am wanted in. I was having a browse on Beautybay when I saw they where stocking Gerard Cosmetics, whether it was new or I was late onto it; I decided to order two lipsticks. They had a buy one get one half price offer on as well, so it was only right I ordered two?!
Rodeo Drive- This lipsticks a medium rosy pink. It’s a really beautiful colour, and one I’ve been wearing a lot recently. I think this colours a perfect everyday lipstick, and would look lovely on a variety of different skin tones. It’s creamy, pigmented, and lasts well on the lips. I like to pair it with the Essence lip liner in Satin Mauve, or MAC Morning Coffee lip liner.
Buttercup- This to me is the perfect nude lipstick. I’d never really had a holy grail nude lipstick, and to be honest I normally avoid nude shades – but this has converted me! This shade was created with the YouTuber Jaclyn Hill. It’s the perfect pink nude, without giving that dreaded “I’m wearing concealer on my lip” look. I like to pair this with MAC Whirl lip liner, they make the perfect everyday nude combination. I feel like I’ve said the word nude a ridiculous amount of times during that.
Both lipsticks wear well, around 4/5 hours, and even longer when paired with a lip liner. The formula is creamy, not at all drying and comfortable to wear. The packaging is another bonus for me, I love gold packaged beauty products (YSL, I’m looking at you and your addictiveness!), it doesn’t feel cheap or like its going to break within 3 seconds of being in my handbag.
I’m really glad I picked these up, they are well worth the hype they recieve! I’m already wanting to order more!! I’ve got my eyes on Kimchi Doll, 1995 and Dolled Up. I’ve got a serious weakness to pretty lipsticks… sorry bank account!
