Barry M are well known for their polishes, and are often releasing exciting new collections with new colours. They’re quality, afordable and come in a wide range of colours. Any nail polish lover like myself will find themselves in polish heaven at a Barry M counter! When I heard about the Quick Dry collection, I needed to pick some up..
Waiting for nail polish to dry can be a nightmare, especially when your hair falls over your eyes, your phone rings and you answer like a mummy, and most annoyingly- you realise you really need to go to for a pee! (keeping it honest here guys). There are many topcoats aimed at speeding up the drying time, my favourite being the Sally Hansen Insta Dri, but a polish aimed at being quick drying… I’m all over that.
This collection contains 9 pastel shades (perfect for spring!) in a variety of different colours, there’s pretty much something for everyone. And can we take a second to appreciate the lid, the racing flag style is adorable, making them easy to spot among my collection. They also have a new flat rounded brush, which for me makes application a lot easier and faster. It’s similar to the Essie brush -but denser- and in all honesty, I prefer the new Barry M brush. They’re priced at £3.99 each, but are currently two for £6 in Superdrug, and two for £7 in Boots.
I picked up two of the shades; Lap of Honour (a greyish mauve, took 2 coats) and Eat My Dust (a pastel blue, took 3 coats). Is the formula actually quick drying? Yes. It took each coat around 60 seconds to be touch dry, and after about 5-10 minutes I was ready to get on with my day. I get around 3 days wear before they begin to chip, which can be increased by using a base and top coat as I usually would. Lap of Honour has actually become one of my favourite polishes, like seriously it takes A LOT for something to gain holy grail for me, but this colour totally deserves it! Both colours also look beautiful with a glitter polish over the top.
Overall I’m really impressed by these polishes. I’m really hoping they keep this new brush because I adore it, I’m also hoping to see even more various colours in the Quick Dry range – Barry M.. I NEED some bright colours!
