Two hauls in one day.. I’m a shopping addict. I wanted to get this up tonight as I already have my posts ready for tomorrow so I thought I’d upload this now.
I studied Beauty Therapy at college, and nails were always my favourite part. Whether it was painting nails, doing nail art, acrylics or gels I loved it all. I started getting into painting my nails when I was around 12 and my love for nail polish has extended since, as well as my collection. My nail varnish collection from 2012 is my most read blog post, and my collection has certainly increased since then. Last week I was having a browse on Fragrance Direct, then I started adding different colours to my basket and before I even thought it through I placed my order. I admit I did go a bit crazy but they we’re all so affordable, most being around £1. I haven’t been as excited for a parcel as I was for this one!
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme – 99p
Left-right, top-bottom // Virtual Violet // Pink Grape Fruit // Pinch of Punch // Petite Pink // Violet Sparks // Wild Life // Perfect Pear-ing // Ice Pop // Strawberry Icing // Blueberry Blast
The first brand I chose was Sally Hansen. Sally Hansen is my favourite brand for top coats, Insta Dri is my holy grail! So when I saw these for 99p I decided to give them a try. I like the shape of these bottles as they don’t take up much room and still hold 11.8ml of product.
Bourjois 10 Day Anti Choc No Chips Nail Polish – £1.10
Left- right // 26 // 12 // 16 // 11 // 25
Bourjois So Laque Nail Polish – 99p
Left-right // 61 Vert Chlorophylle // 31 Bleu Violet // 40 Violet Couture
These Bourjois polishes really stood out to me as I love that they show the colour of the product as well as a matching lid. I thought I’d pick up a few to give a try. The 10 day Anti Choc No Chips have an angled brush, which I’m not too keen on, but I’m sure I’ll get used to.
Left-right // 186 Fuchsia Fever // 191 Orange Fix // 188 Electric Pink // 183 Speeding Light // 207 Turquoise Temptation
I really like the Maybelline Color Show polishes as I’ve tried a few in the past. The only polish I had problems with is the one on the end which is separated, but when you apply it seems to apply evenly. I like the brightness of the neon colours, and although it’s Autumn here in the UK it doesn’t stop be wanting to try these colours- I’m such a rule breaker!
I’m currently wearing the Rimmel Salon Pro in Purple Rain, and I’m loving it. It applied well and was opaque with two coats. The brush is amazing and I found this to be one of the easiest I’ve worked with, very similar to Essie. It also dried really quick.
OPI and Essie are two of my favourite nail polish brands. I haven’t tried any from the Nicole by OPI range so when I saw this one I goggled swatches and I fell in love. Orly is a brand I’ve wanted to try so I ordered this amazing barbie pink, it looks so pretty! I also picked up a couple more Essie to add to my collection as Fragrance Direct have a pretty good reputation in the blogging community for selling Essie for a lot cheaper than RRP, at £2.49.
So that’s everything I picked up, I’m super happy with the colours I got and I can’t wait to have a play around with them all. I will have individual swatches and reviews once I’ve tried them, if there’s any you want to see first feel free to leave them below and I’ll get to it.
