Another month gone, another monthly favourites. June was a fairly busy month for me, I went to see One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer in the beginning of the month so I decided to dye my hair blue for the occasion. If you’ve been a reader of my blog for a while you’ll know I’ve been just about every hair colour going. But I’m loving the blue at the moment. I had dark blonde hair before so I did have to bleach my hair. I got so worried that it would damage my hair, so I went a bit hair crazy and brought loads of moisturising hair products. I’ve been loving the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor which I’ve found works wonders for my hair. It really makes my hair super soft and the smell is literally amazing, this stuff is addictive.
I had read a few good reviews lately on the Max Factor Facefinity All Day Primer, so on a trip into Boots I decided to pick it up. I’m really loving this, as it’s summer it’s important to make sure my foundation lasts. This is my favourite primer I’ve tried, and trust me I’ve tried a fair few! It’s also important to prolong the wear of foundation that you use a powder, as my skin gets oily in the warmer months I’ve been loving using the Rimmel Stay Matte which is a perfect powder for anyone with oily skin. It’s better than any high end powder I’ve tried.
I’ve also been trying to find a new everyday foundation as I’ve found my MAC Studio Fix is beginning to break me out. After lots of research I decided to go for the Estee Lauder Double Wear and oh my, this stuff is incredible. I can’t even rave about it enough, like this is the foundation of all foundations. I’ve also been loving using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer which is so raved about in the beauty community and at only £4.19 it’s so affordable, this stuff is a must have for me.
I’ve also been loving the MAC 109 small contour brush which I picked up on a recent trip to the MAC counter. I was slightly worried as I’ve not heard much about it, and I’m one of those people that has to read loads of reviews before I purchase something, especially when it’s so expensive, but this has brush not let me down. It’s a contouring must. It was expensive at £27, but worth every penny.
Now it’s summer here in the UK most people are rocking the bright colourful lip but having blue hair makes it harder to wear colour so I’ve stuck with nudes. I’ve been loving MACs Siren Song lipstick from the Alluring Aquatic collection. This was limited edition which is annoying as this is my perfect nude lipstick. The packaging is also so pretty and eye catching.
As for eyes I’ve also been keeping it pretty nude, I’ve found myself reaching for my Urban Decay Naked Palette most days, this just has the perfect everyday colours in. I just wish it had a matte black in, but I do own others so it’s ok. I’ve been loving using the Zoeve 228 crease brush to apply and blend colours into the crease. This brush is now one of my favourite eye brushes, it’s also super soft and affordable.
