April was a great month for me, we
went on a family holiday to Tunisia for 10 days which was amazing, the
weather was lovely and I do miss lounging round a pool all day, we’re already looking
into our next holiday! I did go a bit make up crazy, especially in duty free as
I can’t resist an offer, even if it’s only a couple of pound off it all adds up
in the end. So here’s what I picked up over April..
Urban Decay Electric Palette– I had some rewards on my Debenhams beauty
card so I managed to pick this palette up for £28, which I couldn’t resist. I’m
really loving it and finding myself reaching for it most days, I’ve always been
more of a bright eyes kind of girl so this palette is perfect for me.
Stila In the Light Palette*- I picked this palette up on the airplane, I was
mixed about whether to get or not as I do have more than enough palettes, but it’s
so raved about I caved in and brought it. I never thought I’d say this but I am
reaching for this more than my naked palette!
Skin 79 BB Cream– I decided to order this as I’ve been looking for a
lighter product as the weather warms up, this only arrived this morning so I haven’t
had a chance to try it but ill post a review when I have.
Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronze Universel– This had been on my wish list for years, I just couldn’t justify
the price so I’d always put off ordering it, until I had a Debenhams giftcard
to use so I decided to order this, so far I’m loving it.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in ‘Honey’– I
only purchased this yesterday after taking my first ever visit to Space NK in
London. It’s another product I’d been wanting for ages but I don’t live near a
Nars counter and didn’t want to risk ordering the wrong colour online. The lady
was really helpful and the shade ‘Honey’ is a perfect match for my NW20 skin.
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Lips in ‘Electra’ and ‘Capella’–
These where an impulse buy in Superdrug, I saw them on the Barry M counter and
after reading good reviews on them I picked them up. I really like them so far.
L’oreal Color Infallible Eyeshadows– I got
these from Fragrance Direct for only £1.50 and I’m loving them, they’re so
pigmented and have really good lasting power. I got them in shades: 004 Forever
Pink, 032 Sassy Marshmallow, 031 Innocent Turquoise, 013 Burning Black, 014
Dior Fusion Mono Eyeshadow in ‘Cosmos’*- This
is blue shimmery heaven in a jar, it literally feels like butter and I
literally want them all. HEAVEN!
MAC Impassioned Lipstick*- I recently reviewed
this lipstick, aka perfection, you can read it here.
MAC Pink Poodle Lipstick– I picked this up
from the MAC By Request that came out recently. It’s a cool-toned pink fuchsia
pink with blue shimmer in. I have mixed feelings for this, it’s nice but I don’t
find myself reaching for it often.
MAC Pink Pearl Pop*- This is such a nice
everyday wearable cool toned medium pink, it’s a cremesheen finish so it’s
light and creamy to wear.
Juicy Couture Perfume- I can’t find a link to this.. but it was a TK Maxx find the other day when I was on the hunt for a new perfume. I’m really loving it and it lasts hours on me, unlike any other perfume I’ve tried before.
Wow, that seemed like it took forever to
write, my hands need a rest! That’s everything I brought in April make up wise,
now it’s time to go on a spending ban which will probably only last a few days,
oops. At least I’ve got lots of things to keep me busy reviewing!
