NARS Albatross Review

I’ve been on the hunt for a new powder highlighter for a while now. During a little shopping trip with my sister I attempted to find a new one that would catch my eye (and purse!) so I swatched a few from various brands, but I just couldn’t find the perfect one. I’d heard lots about Nars Albatross but as we don’t have a counter in town so whilst I was browsing online I decided to finally give it a try so I ordered it from ASOS.

Whilst waiting for the delivery I was left wondering (and praying!) will it really be worth the £21.50 price tag…? But I can confirm the answer is YES! I’ve been using it everyday for a few weeks now and I’m already in love. I apply to all the usual areas I highlight like on my cheek bones, a tiny bit on my forehead and lightly down my nose. This may sound a lot but together with the rest of my make up really helps to shape my face.

I have pink toned skin so I was worried about it not suiting my skin as it is yellow toned, but it does work well on my skin. It adds glow without being too much, and a little bit goes a long way. It doesn’t emphasise any texture, and it also lasts all day on my face.

It comes in the standard NARS packaging which does gets messy very easily, but that annoyingly seems to always be the way with the Nars packaging, I can however get over that with how soft and glowy it leaves my skin looking. It’s the same size as the Nars blushes which did worry me that I will hit pan on it easily, but like I mentioned a little does go a long way so I can see it lasting a while.

I’m so happy with this purchase! Mars has quickly become one of my favourite brands, up next on the wishlist is some NARS blushes. Have you tried much from Nars? If so what are some of your favourite products?
